Tuscan studio. To cappuccino or not to cappuccino.
Decisions decisions decisions... to work on the piazzo, have a cappuccino or two, or three... For a month this year that was my most difficult decision for the day, did I stay at the apartment, work at the desk and when the heat got too bad, I could walk a few steps and cool off in the pool - or - did I take a walk into town with my laptop, set up 'shop' in the piazzo and work, spurred on by countless cappuccini? Most days I'm afraid to say, the piazzo and many cappuccini won. There is something magical about this small town in southern Tuscany, something that draws me back, again and again, maybe it is the calmness of the piazza, the uniform look of the centuary old buildings, the fact that things are today as they were yesterday, sleeping under 600 year old beams, wondering about the hopes and dreams of those who have slept here before. Walking the narrow streets, touching the walls that were touched by medievil woman as she went about her day. What were her hopes and dreams, were they more simple than mine?
