Tears and history. Watching from afar. Planning.

Visso, Norcia, Amatrice.... the list goes on, towns that have stood the test of centuries, damaged by earthquakes. I can't even begin to imagine the fear, the sadness, the shock. Towns that are no longer standing. I sit here in Cape Town, wondering how I can help. How I can be there, how to support my beloved Italy.
My little town of Cetona, has felt the rumble, but, not been damaged. A relief to know that my friends are safe - rattled, but, safe. I look through my images taken through the years and I try to imagine how it would look if disaster struck. I know I'd be heartbroken. Tuscany - Cetona, is like a distant lover, calling from afar, seeping into my dreams, the longing a tangible string that draws me back.
The route to returning is clear, get busy, work hard, establish a place as a designer in Italy, return for the summer. Surely there must be a place for an english speaking designer *tongue in cheek* *rolls eyes* May 2017 can't get here fast enough and with it the beginning of a dream becoming reality.
